Jamar Cobb-Dennard is a business broker at Indiana Business Advisors. The company has 40 years of experience helping 2100 business owners prepare, value, and sell their businesses.

As a leadership consultant, Jamar specializes in teaching business owners how to advance their careers through effective leadership, networking, sales and recruiting skills. 

Over the years, Jamar has led trainings for Veolia Water, the Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce, Indianapolis Power and Light Co., College Mentors for Kids, the American Lung Association, Meeting Planners International, the Indiana CPA Society, the American Cancer Society and many more organizations with programs that have educated and inspired. Prior to his time as an independent speaker and trainer, Jamar worked for Dale Carnegie Training, National Seminars Group, and CJ McClanahan. 

Jamar started his career in sales and marketing. Cobb-Dennard routinely helped companies grow 40% in the first year of his engagements, and was himself a top-10 award-winning salesperson. 

Additionally, Jamar spent nine years building political relationships throughout the state of Indiana. Jamar ran for mayor of the city of Lawrence and earned 49% of the vote. Jamar also served as a board member of the Department of Public Works for the City of Indianapolis. He has served as the president of the local chapter and vice president of the state chapter of the Indiana Democrat African American Caucus. Jamar is also an elected precinct committeeperson as well as a local and state convention delegate. During the 2017 state legislative session, Jamar was an intern lobbyist for the Hoosier State Press Association. In 2015, he worked as an intern for the Indiana University Public Policy Institute and the Indiana Democratic Party.

Jamar is a Stanley K. Lacy Executive Leadership Series graduate, was recognized as a 2013 Emerging Leader by 100 Black Men, an Indianapolis Business Journal Forty-Under-40 award recipient, and a 2017 Trailblazer by the Alpha Foundation for the Youth.

Jamar also earned his Juris Doctorate from the Indiana University McKinney School of Law.
