This class looks at the career path of Black CPAs in America. Questions are posed as to why in a profession that valorizes fairness representation of qualified Black CPAs remains at a 2% level. Accounting professor Dr. Lauren Rukasuwan challenges us to explore this and other questions around this topic at a deeper level.

Dr. Lauren Rukasuwan is currently an Assistant Professor of Accounting in the Lacy School of Business at Butler University. Her curriculum includes undergraduate Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Introduction to Federal Taxation, and Accounting Information Systems. Her research interests include questions related to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the classroom as well as in professional practice.
